Electric cars can be a pain in the ass. If you run out of juice,
the car sits for up to 18 hours charging. Now as a rental car
in the big cities I bet they would be great. Just figure a secure
way to allow people to us a credit card and take the cars. Leave
them on a charger when done. Sounds real cool. Just thinking you
will be able to run to work every day with the same car? Not going to
work for most. Unless you only drive a few blocks. If that was the
case, you could leave them on the charger for the weekend. Or you
could walk the few blocks.
