Britannia files legal suit against Ankur Arora Murder Case

With the release of Suhail Tatari's film Ankur Arora Murder Case just a few hours away, little must have the makers expected that they will be in a controversy because of a biscuit! 

Britannia, the makers of 'Good Day' biscuits have now slapped a legal notice on Vikram Bhatt's ASA Productions (the film's makers) stating the unauthorized use of its name. The brand has claimed Rs. 1 crore to compensate the damages caused due to the alleged defamation and infringement of copyright and trademark, apart from an unconditional apology. 

For the uninitiated, the film's trailers show that the film's lead character Ankur Arora falling sick after eating biscuits. Even though there is no direct mention of the biscuit's brand name by any of the actors, a packet of the aforementioned biscuits has been shown lying on the patient's table. The said brand has claimed that this denotes that the biscuits have caused the death. Speaking about this incident, Vikram Bhatt said that they have agreed to blur the visual in the film and from the promotions out of goodwill.
