Chennai Express trailer: The Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer promises to be a mad roller-coaster ride!

he most awaited trailer of this season is out. And nobody can miss this adventurous train journey

For quite some time, we have only been witnessing the on the sets visuals of Rohit Shetty’s much anticipated romcom, but now we present the theatrical trailer of the film.Shahrukh Khan introduces himself as 40-year-old Rahul (yes, yet again!) who boardsChennai Express. He witnesses an incident wherein some South Indian local goons kick the TC (Ticket Checker) out of the moving train. Enter Deepika Padukone, who threatens the ‘witness’ Rahul to come to Chennai; but the gal has an ulterior motive as she informs Rahul that her father is a ‘respected’ don in the city.

The story, as suspected, promises to be an adventurous ride – how Shahrukh bumps into Deepika on his train journey and the series of mishaps, escapade and fun thereafter. The highlight of the trailer is when King Khan tells Deepika – jab se meri life mein aayi ho, my life sucks, to which she replies – same here! Rohit Shetty’s stamp on the film is clearly visible as we haven’t seen Shahrukh and Deepika in this avatar ever before. Though we love Dips’ South Indian accent, we doubt if the voice is actually hers. From the looks of it, Chennai Express is all set to bring the Bollywood baadshah his lost glory back. Do Shahrukh Khan and Gauri have ‘good news’ for us?

We heard a whisper about a filmi couple having a third child via a surrogate. The clues point to SRK and his Missus. But could it be true? We wonder….

Sometimes in filmi duniya a ‘new baby’ refers to a film – ready to release or about to start with a muhurat shot. Other times, it could be about an actual baby, a child, an infant, expected soon in a film family. This time, we heard that a happily hitched twosome is planning to have a third child, this time via a surrogate mum. According to newspaper reports, the couple already has two kids, the elder of which is now being educated abroad. Hubby and wifey married in the 90s and now our man is a big time hero who can afford the time to sit back and enjoy a new baby in his life. And since time waits for no woman to think about it too long – neither does cellulite – our to-be parents have decided to take the surrogacy route instead of going about it the usual natural way, we are told. And the infant is expected to arrive in early July, it is said.

So we read this, put two and two together and came up with a rather unsatisfying four. Why are we not happy? Because there was a serious lack of substance to it. Yes, we can go on for reams about surrogate motherhood or parenthood and who has opted for it, but nothing gives us really solid clues about who this couple could be. We could leap to a lovely happy conclusion and say it is Shahrukh Khan and Gauri, who got married in 1991 and have two children – Suhana, who is still at home with Mummy and Daddy, and Aryan, who is in prep school near London. SRK is now a top star, loves kids and is said to adore his wife, rumours of his wandering interest in various heroines, the latest being Priyanka Chopra, notwithstanding. The King Khan now can sit back and enjoy fatherhood for a while, wethinks, since he is, after all, the Badshaah of Bollywood, no?

Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother Aparshakti Khurrana to make his Bollywood debut with a Neeraj Pandey film!

Ayushmann Khurrana’s younger brother Aparshakti Khurrana is a Radio Jockey by profession. He has been entertaining his listeners by hosting a show for a radio channel in Delhi. But looks like things are changing for this young kid. After doing some hardcore theatre and becoming an established RJ, Aparshakti has now got the opportunity to show his acting skills on the big screen in a film called Saat Uchakedirected by Sanjeev Sharma and produced by A Wednesday! director Neeraj Pandey.

But is Aparshakti excited about this big offer and his B-town debut? He bursts the bubble by saying that he’s happy in his own RJing world and that this opportunity was just an incredible stroke of luck. It’s wonderful to come across someone who’s not hungry to make a mark on mainstream Bollywood and happy being in his own creative space. We wish Aparshakti all the best for his new endeavour…

Pooja Chopra accused of cheating; police complaint filed by ex-stylist and jeweller

The Commando actor’s ex-stylist and a popular jewellery brand have alleged that Chopra borrowed a set of expensive diamond earrings but later claimed that it was stolen and hasn’t paid compensation yet

Pooja Chopra, who started her Bollywood journey with Vipul Shah’s action flickCommando opposite Vidyut Jamwal, is in a dilemma. Her ex-stylist Anisha Jain, along with Anmol Jewellers, has filed a complaint at the Bandra police station alleging that Chopra borrowed diamond earrings worth Rs 5 lakhs and later refused to return it and pay compensation.

Reportedly, the complaint suggests that for an event in March, Pooja’s stylist Jain (then) picked up three pair of earrings from Anmol Jewellers on the actor’s behalf. In her complaint, Anisha says that Pooja informed her that the earrings were stolen two days after the event and that she had filed a police complaint regarding the theft. Pooja was willing to pay for the earrings but later refused to do so and even after repeated attempts, did not budge. So Jain was left with no choice but to file a police complaint along with Anmol Jewellers against Chopra.

An executive of the jewellery brand while talking to a newspaper said, “Pooja wanted to buy the earrings since she liked it but later told us that they had been stolen but assured us that she would pay for the loss. But she didn’t do that.” On her defense, Pooja says, “When I filed a case of theft two months ago, the cops told me not to pay the amount since investigations were on. I have no problem paying, but when there is a possibility of the jewellery being recovered, I have every right to try my luck. I’m waiting for the investigations to get over.”

Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput shoot P.K. in Belgium

The duo, who’ll be sharing the screen space for the first time in this Rajkumar Hirani film, were spotted shooting some dramatic scenes in Belgium

Most of our B-town actors love shooting their films at some exotic locales outside India, especially for a long schedule, as they have all the reasons to be away from their usual boring Mumbai life. Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput are one of those lucky few, who not only got the opportunity to travel to a striking foreign land, but also to be directed by the genius filmmaker, Rajkumar Hirani.

Both Anushka and Sushant, who are currently stationed at Bruges, Belgium to shootP.K., are having a gala time. Ms Sharma is seen sporting cropped hair in a flower-print chiffon dress whereas the Kai Po Che! actor is wearing a school uniform. In between the shoot, the ace director is seen having lunch with the foreign crew members. The shooting is expected to continue till next week, mostly June 19, we hear. Now, we are curious to know what Anushka and Sushant have actually shot there!

MasterChef India 3 finalist Doyel Sarangi wants to start a restaurant for kids.

A mother of a two-year-old boy and a pampering housewife, Doyel Sarangi from Kolkata is a finalist on TV cooking reality show MasterChef India – Kitchen Ke Superstarseason 3. Whether she wins or not, she hopes she is able to set an example for women who have talent but it remains within the four walls of their house.

Her father introduced Doyel to the world of cooking at a young age, and her passion for it just continues to grow. She says cooking gives her a nasha (high). “As a homemaker, my day used to start and end with cooking. I used to keep trying different dishes and made my friends and relatives eat the food. But I was always cooking within a daayra(boundary),” Doyel said in Ajmer at an interaction.

“My husband and family pushed me to go out and cook on a bigger platform and showcase my talent. I think everyone should break boundaries and I hope people, especially women, look up to me as an example and step out to show their talent,” she added.

Doyel is currently among the three finalists of MasterChef – Kitchen Ke Superstar. She is competing with Delhi-based Ripudaman Handa and Navneet Rastogi from Varanasi for the title. The finale episode will be aired on Star Plus on Friday, June 14.

Doyel visited the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer on June 10 with other finalists to pray for her “dreams” to come true. “It’s a do or die situation,” she said, adding, “I’m the only girl in the finalists, so please vote and make me win!”

Doyel, who is lively and a go-getter, says if she manages to win MasterChef, she will first buy a house for her nuclear family. “We live in rented accomodation as of now. Also, I would like to make a fixed deposit for my son. I want to host cookery workshops and want to learn all sorts of cuisines,” she said.

But an ultimate dream that she harbours is to open a restaurant where kids have no restriction on the way they eat or conduct themselves. “There will be books and toys, and kids can do what they want, mess around…that’s the kind of restaurant I’d like to open,” said Doyel, who is a professional at cooking any fish dish.
